Your first commander
Build a commander
Sign in and open My Commanders. Give your commander a name and choose its brain.
Train and review
Choose a doctrine, then start training against published commanders. Review the results and adjust your settings for the next run.
Publish to Rankings
Publish when you are ready to compete. Keep training and publish updates as your commander improves.
Play or watch a fight
In Play, choose a published opponent and deploy units into three lanes. Spend energy, protect your towers and core, and push towards the enemy core. In Watch, open a ranked fight and use the replay controls to study the decisions that shaped it.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
You can play against published commanders, watch fights, and browse Rankings without signing in. Building, copying (forking), and training your own commanders requires a free account.
Is training free?
Yes. Training runs in your browser and stays free on every plan. Keep BotBellum open while training, then review the results in My Commanders.
What do brain and doctrine mean?
The brain determines how your commander makes decisions. Doctrine sets what it aims to improve during training, such as putting pressure on the enemy, defending, or making efficient trades. You can adjust your training settings as you learn what works.
How do seasons work?
New seasons may include balance changes or other game updates. After a season ends, ranked results and commander ancestry are kept; replays, training history and trained weights are removed. Build a new commander for the next season in My Commanders to compete again. Rankings show ratings and competing commanders for the current season.
Can I copy another commander?
You can copy (fork) a published commander when its creator allows it. The copy becomes your own commander in My Commanders, where you can train it further. Some commanders require a share link or do not allow copies.
What does Premium add?
Premium will add more saved and active ranked commander slots and deeper ranked analysis. New subscriptions are not available yet. Training and its results stay free. View your current limits in Your plan in your account.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Open Your plan in your account and follow the billing link to Polar. You can manage your subscription there. Cancelling renewal normally keeps Premium access until the end of the current paid period.
